The hike from the parking lot to the top of Rainbow Mountain takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes, following the Mountain with a path built by the locals for tourists. We recommend that you stroll to the top of Rainbow Mountain, our tour guides carry oxygen tanks and first aid kits for any event, but the advice is to hike slowly. The first 60 minutes follow a hillside; for the last 25 minutes, climb up the Mountain to reach the summit of Vinicunca rainbow and have a great view. The return is more straightforward since going down the Mountain is always better because it is a downhill hike; the return is fun until we reach our transport.

Traveling from Cusco to the parking los of Pitumarca takes about 3 hours and 40 minutes; then, we ride motorcycles for about 12 minutes. After that, we hike to the top of Rainbow Mountain for about 9 minutes. Returning is the same process.
